The production of soft drinks in Russia in January - February 2025 increased by 9% compared to the same period in 2024 and amounted to 126.7 million dal, the Ministry of Agriculture reported.
"Since the beginning of 2025, Russian manufacturers have significantly increased the production of soft drinks. In the first two months, production increased by 9% compared to the same period last year, reaching 126.7 million dal," the report said.
The Ministry of Agriculture also reported that the production of drinking and mineral water increased by 10.8% over the same period, to 172.5 million dal. 49.5 million dal of mineral, 60.2 million dal of natural and 59.9 million dal of processed packaged drinking waters were produced.
Alla Andreeva, President of the Union of Juice, Water and Beverage Producers, whose words are quoted in the ministry's message, attributes this dynamic to several factors. In particular, with the increase in warehouse volumes in preparation for the peak demand season, which traditionally falls during the summer months. "In addition, Russian companies continue to explore new export destinations, increasing supplies to individual EAEU countries and preparing to enter the markets of Southeast Asia and other regions," the Ministry of Agriculture said in a statement.
