The Russian government has expanded the list of products to be labeled as part of an experiment to include electronic cigarettes and tobacco heating devices.
According to the government's press service, the experiment will last from July 14, 2025 to February 28, 2026.
"Electronic cigarettes and similar individual electric reusable vaporizing devices (devices for heating tobacco) have been added to the list," the report says.
Labeling of tobacco products in the Russian Federation began in 2019 and covers almost all nicotine-containing products. At the same time, smoking devices had not previously participated in labeling.
