The Ministry of Industry and Trade has compiled a list of documents that the seller may require from the buyer to confirm the age when selling non-alcoholic tonic drinks (including energy drinks).

The draft of the relevant order has been published on a single portal for posting draft regulations.

The Ministry recalled that Federal Law No. 304-FZ of 08.08.2024 established a ban on the sale of non-alcoholic tonic drinks (including energy drinks) to minors.

At the same time, if the seller of non-alcoholic tonic drinks doubts that the buyer has reached the age of majority, he has the right to request from the buyer a document allowing him to establish his age.

In this regard, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has compiled a list of documents allowing to establish the age of the buyer. It includes 15 documents, including: passport (civil, diplomatic, official, foreign), seaman's identity card, residence permit, refugee certificate, driver's license.
