The share of Russian producers of soft drinks in the retail chain increased from January to September from 40 to 70%. This was announced to TASS by the chairman of the Presidium of the Association of Retail Trade Companies (ACORT) Igor Karavaev.
"Among the categories where there is a significant increase in the share of Russian goods are soft drinks: since the beginning of the year, the share of domestic producers has grown from an average of 40% to 70%," he said.
Karavaev added that another dynamically growing area is the category of cosmetics and hygiene products, where the share of domestic manufacturers increased by 15% over the same period. The share of Russian suppliers is also growing in the category of household chemicals - there are 10% more of them.
According to him, retail chains are actively developing product lines under their own trademarks, as well as their own production facilities. For example, the Auchan company sells products of its own meat processing plant in the Tambov region, and Magnit owns its own greenhouse complexes for growing fresh vegetables, mushroom farms, a bakery plant and a confectionery enterprise.
At the same time, Karavaev noted that almost 98% of the food assortment is produced in Russia. The largest share of Russian producers' goods is observed in the category of dairy products - 95-99%. The member companies of the association actively develop cooperation with Russian suppliers, hold trade and procurement sessions in the regions. For example, in the Magnit chain, half of the 6 thousand suppliers account for regional manufacturers, and in the Auchan chain - a third of the 3 thousand suppliers.
In addition, there is an increase in demand for equipment from leading domestic companies and brands from Belarus and Uzbekistan by 1.5-2 times compared to the previous year in physical terms, he added. Brands from these countries have maximally strengthened their positions in the segments of refrigerators and freezers, washing machines, stoves and kitchen hoods. Sales of key manufacturers in these categories exceeded 1.8 million units. According to the company "M.Video-Eldorado", the most popular brands among Russians were "Atlant", Darina, Gefest, Flama and Elikor, concluded Karavaev.
