The electronic register of licenses for the production and turnover of tobacco and nicotine-containing products has been launched since September 1 in Russia. The corresponding government decree was signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
As follows from the materials of the Cabinet of Ministers, the register is created on the basis of a single digital platform "Guests". It will reflect information about issued, suspended and cancelled licenses. Thus, the regulatory authorities will be able to promptly check their status.
Earlier it was noted that the launch of the register will help reduce the volume of illegal production of cigarettes and other nicotine-containing products, including vapes.
The document has been prepared for the implementation of the norms of the law on state regulation of production and turnover of tobacco products adopted in 2023, as specified on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
