The electronic register of licenses for the production and turnover of tobacco and nicotine-containing products will be launched from September 1, 2023. The corresponding decree has been signed, according to the government's website.
As follows from the materials of the Cabinet of Ministers, the register is created on the basis of a single digital platform "Guests". It will reflect information about issued, suspended and cancelled licenses. Thus, regulatory authorities will be able to promptly check the status of licenses.
"The launch of the register will contribute to reducing the volume of illegal production of cigarettes and other nicotine—containing products, including vapes," the government noted.
The document has been prepared to implement the norms of the law on state regulation of production and turnover of tobacco products adopted in 2023, as specified on the Cabinet's website.
