Due to the marking, it was possible to close more than 30 illegal tobacco industries and increase the collection of excise taxes by 121.5 billion rubles. This was told to the FAN by the deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Artem Kiryanov.
The introduction of marking in 14 product groups did not lead to a noticeable increase in cost for the consumer, the parliamentarian noted. According to him, the concerns that were expressed at the stage of the introduction of marking were not justified.
Artyom Kiryanov paid attention to the fact that the experience of marking product groups has already shown that there is much less and less counterfeit.
"Due to the marking, more than 30 illegal tobacco production facilities were closed, another 18 new legal production facilities appeared in Russia," the deputy noted.
He added that in this regard, he considers it reasonable to extend the marking to new product groups.
"I see a noticeable benefit in its implementation in the brewing industry. It has been repeatedly said that the budget receives tens of billions less every year because of the gray market. Another important direction is caviar. There is an illegal turnover at the level of almost 30%, and caviar is the image of our state. Children's water is also in a problem area," the parliamentarian noted.
Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has already proposed mandatory marking of beer, including non-alcoholic and low-alcohol beverages.
